I am a STOTT Pilates Certified Instructor and have been teaching for 11 years. I have completed intense training in Mat Pilates, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels. I have also completed specialty training for injuries and special populations including osteoporosis, scoliosis, osteoarthritis, disc herniation, knee, ankle, hip and shoulder injuries as well as prenatal Pilates. I have also enjoyed my training in fascial movement, Pilates for men, athletic conditioning, golf conditioning, and props including: cardio tramp, mini-stability ball, BOSU, Pilates edge, medicine ball, stability barrel, trigger point, TRX Suspension Trainer and barre. Additionally, I have been certified through NASM as a personal trainer and certified through PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) to further dancer's conditioning and performance.
I have danced since the age of 3 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma. I owned a Pilates studio in Texas for 5 years before moving to Oklahoma.
I love the intricacies of the way our bodies were designed to work best. I have found that Pilates truly cares for this design and enables the body to stay safe while getting stronger.
Olive trees are resilient. Thanks to their sturdy and extensive root system, they are resistant to drought, disease, and fire. This robust root system is capable of regenerating the tree even if the above-ground structure is destroyed. Olive trees can live exceptionally long, up to several centuries, and can remain productive for as long, if they are pruned correctly and regularly. I believe that Pilates allows the roots of our health to dig deep and grow stronger, allowing us to flourish in health and in life.
My hope is to care for your health holistically through PIlates and cardio training, as well as proper recovery and rest. Through my own personal experience as well as through helping others, I have seen the effect that our lives can have on our bodies and the effect our bodies can have on our lives. Ultimately, my hope is that you are physically healthy so that you can live life more fully with the people you love!
