Where Are The ROOTS of Your Health Planted?

Want to know why New Year Resolutions FAIL more often than not?!
↓β↓
My 15 years in the fitness industry has shown me that because New Year Resolutions are usually rooted in fear, insecurity or a measured goal, there is most likely not enough desire to actually change someone's habits, routine or lifestyle. π¬
As a fitness expert, for me to convince you that you are not enough right now and you need to change your body to be more valuable - would be good for my business wouldn’t it? But long-term - your fitness goals or health resolutions won't stick. Because they would be rooted in shame!
But what if, instead, you see and think of things in a different way? ↓π€ππΌ
I want to convince you, instead, that you are IMMENSELY valuable. Right now. You matter and your life matters so much. (This is what I see is a part of my goal and mission in my business - to convince and show my clients just how valuable each one of you are!) And that *because* of how valuable you are - that you should take care of your life by taking care of your health. πΏ
Your value isn’t found in how you look or what you do. Your value is not found in what you accomplish. You are not more or less valuable because of what you can and cannot accomplish. Or how you change. Or becoming a "new you".
Do not let the start of the new year sway your heart to want to find importance or value in what you can achieve or change or become.
You are immensely valuable right now. π
And that's the honest truth.
You are valuable simply because God made you uniquely you.
In the words of Dr. Seuss - “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
I am sure you think of a whole list of people who are grateful for YOU and for your unique life. π
And how much care and love it offers the people who are grateful for your life - that you would take care of your life well by stewarding your health well. So that you can be fully present and enjoy what really matters in life. Not obsession with health. But stewardship.
While most health influencers are busying themselves to capitalize on the new year for their business (and not necessarily for your good) - I want to encourage you to actually slow down. I know the detriment that new year resolutions can be and I want to caution you to look at the roots of your resolutions.
Please know that you are valuable. And nothing you resolve to do in the New Year will increase or decrease how valuable you are.
Take care of your life by taking care of your health. Not because you want to gain value. Because you ARE valuable. πΏπΏ
