Joseph Pilates originally created this method of exercise for the rehabilitation of internment camp victims, using his deep knowledge of the body to strengthen the muscles and joints in the way they were DESIGNED to function.
Pilates is a strength training workout that requires you to focus and use your mind to move your body in detailed ways. The ability of our brain to move our body in a balanced and properly aligned way strengthens the muscles in a way no other form of exercise does.
When done correctly, each Pilates exercise allows the muscles to be strengthened and lengthened, creating a lean muscle tone rather than a bulky one.
Using an anatomically-based approach, each workout is specifically designed to open tight areas and strengthen weak areas. Exercises build on each other and therefore allow each client to progress rather than just doing different exercises.
Whether you are an athlete, injured, young or old, you can do Pilates! Because each Session is programmed for the client, this workout is safe and effective for anyone. And because of the extensive repertoire there are always challenges to be enjoyed by all!
Everyone needs proper functionality, strength, stabilization, alignment and flexibility of their muscles and joints. Pilates helps with ALL of these things and EVERYONE needs that!
With my intense training, education and experience, I am able to help anyone with meticulously assessing and furthering their health, be it in Pilates, injuries or weak areas, cardio training, or lifestyle. Our small Group Pilates Session sizes also allow for more one-one-one attention.
Each Session is programmed with detailed precision, ensuring the most thorough and effective workouts. Each client will always be moving through specific progressions of their training at Olive Tree.
The hope at Olive Tree is that each client's health is cared for in a comprehensive way. Recognizing how lifestyle and physical health greatly effect the wholeness of a person, we desire to help care for each component of your life.
